The Venue:
Due Forni is a large, upscale Italian restaurant situated in the heart of Moscow. It is led by the legendary brand chef Remo Mazzucato. Given its prominence, the installations included top of the line audio equipment. Andy worked closely with architects, interior designers and one of Russian's largest consulting firm, Art People Group.

Summary:
The venue is comprised of several halls with different cieling heights, open spaces and closed spaces with proximity to walls, a wide bar and spaces designated for private Karaoke events. The principal challenge was to create a perfectly balanced acoustic environment without sacrificing from the restaurant’s aesthetic or disrupting the flow of the space.

Solution:
Creating homogeneity in this multizone venue (which had very poor acoustics to begin with) was a key factor. The homogeneity of the system was based on Q-sys. Q-SYS is an integrated, software-based AV&C platform designed for high value spaces. The client was not only very satisfied with the quality but also with the cost savings.

In addition to the massive hall, which took a considerable amount of time to set up, the bar area required a delicate balance for varied scenarios. Employing the right "Pub" sound design is critical to enhancing a patrons overall experience. In addition of pedant speakers for background music Andy decided to place a pair of 12 inch sattelites with 18inch subwoofer in each part of the bar (2 sides) area with maximum of 110dB sound pressure specifically designed for massive DJ nights.

The Venue:
Lightone is a leading importer of lighting, sound and stage equipment in Israel. They wanted to create a top of the line conference room that would also serve as a training area.

Summary:
Andy was tasked with converting a warehouse into a stylish conference room. The Lightone conference room was designed and built literally from scratch. Non-standard hexagons were chosen as acoustic panels.



Solution:
He designed the sound system, installed media equipment including self-guided motion detection cameras, integrated the phone routing system with stereo speakers and designed the lighting system. This meeting room was intended to serve as a Q sys demo room, Andy installed light fixtures to resemble the Q-sys design. He also reinforced the walls to hang 2 large screen television screens and added comfortable tables intended for training team members.
